Kristina zur Mühlen is a graduate physicist, journalist, and presenter who hosts various TV formats – including the News and the 3sat science magazine nano. In a relaxed and charming manner, she shows the audience how exciting even highly complex, dry science can be. “Why complicate things when they can be simpler” – is her motto.
She also proves this entertainingly at events such as award ceremonies, congresses, conferences, or panel discussions. Kristina zur Mühlen was born in Berlin. She grew up in the eastern part of the country, studied physics at the University of Jena, and embarked on a journalistic career after graduation. As an author of TV contributions, she spent the first years behind the camera until she transitioned to presenting in front of the camera in 2003.
She is particularly passionate about child protection. She is an ambassador for the German Society for Prevention and Intervention in Child Abuse and Neglect (DGfPI). And she has a mission: she wants to inspire especially girls to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
