About Konstantin Bogomolov

Born in 1975 in Moscow.

In 1997 graduated from the Moscow State University (Faculty of philology) and started career as a philologist.

In 2002 graduated from RATI-GITIS (workshop of Andrei A. Goncharov).

In 2002 directed “Lecture on the benefits of murders” – the performance based on the plays by Fernando Arrabal and Slavomir Mrojek.

2004 – “Tueur sans gages” by Eugene Lonesco at the Russian Youth Theatre (Moscow).

2005 – “Iphigenia in Aulis” by Euripides (Moscow Theatre Centre “Na Strastnom”, within the project “Moscow Open Stage”, sponsored by The Moscow City Government).

2006 – “The diary of the dead” by M. Bulgakov’s novel at the Gogol Drama Theatre (Moscow).

2006 – “Much ado about nothing” by William Shakespear in Moscow State Malaya Bronnaya Theatre.

2006 – “The Trial” by Franz Kafka’s novel in Moscow State Tabakov Theatre.

2009 – “Wonderland-80” by S. Dovlatov’s novel and Lewis Caroll’s tales in Moscow State Tabakov Theatre.

2009 – “Turandot” by Carlo Gozzi’s “Princess Turandot” and Feodor Dostoevski’s “Idiot” in Pushkin State Theatre (Moscow).

2010 – “Seagull” by Anton Chekhov in Moscow State Tabakov Theatre (on the stage and in co-production with Moscow Art Theare).

2010 – “Lear. A comedy” by William Shakespear’s “King Lear” in “Priyut Comedianta” (S-Petersburg State Theatre).

2011 – “The event” by Vl. Nabokov in the Moscow Art Theatre.

2012 – “The year I was not born”, by Viktor Rozov in the Moscow Art Theatre.

Several performances (“Elder Son”, “Wonderland-80”, “Much Ado about Nothing”) were nominated for National Award “Golden Mask”.

Performances were awarded by varios prizes in Russia.
