Playing as a left back, Jérôme Fernandez is one of the greatest French handball players: Knight of the Legion of Honor, he is the captain of “the Experts team”.
He began his career at Spacer’s de Toulouse, for two seasons, then three years at Montpellier HB. In 2002, he moved to Spain to join FC Barcelona, until 2008, when he joined BM Ciudad Real. After winning the French championship and the Spanish championship, Jérôme Fernandez decided to take on the challenge of Germany, one of the most competitive leagues, by signing with the Kiel club. In 2011, he decided to return to France, to Toulouse Handball, where he currently plays.
Throughout his career, he has also represented the French Team, with which he has won everything. He has over 330 caps in the blue jersey and has scored more than 1300 goals, making him the top scorer in the history of the French handball team. His achievements are a testament to his incredible talent:
