Jean-Marie Colombani
French Journalist and Essayist
Jean-Marie began his career in 1973 as a journalist at ORTF, then at the FR3 office in New Caledonia. Four years later, he joined the newspaper Le Monde as a writer in the political department, where he successively became head of the political department in 1983 and editor-in-chief in 1990. He continues to rise through the ranks within the newspaper. In 1991, he became deputy to the editorial director; in 1994, he was elected director of the newspaper Le Monde; in 1996, he became president of the Supervisory Board of Le Monde Diplomatique;
