Jean-Hervé Lorenzi is the president of the Circle of Economists, a professor at Paris-Dauphine University, and a member of the Council of Economic Analysis (CAE). With a doctorate in economics and an aggregation in law and economic sciences, Jean-Hervé Lorenzi has notably served as an advisor to the President of the Havas Group and as an economic advisor to Prime Minister Edith Cresson. He is currently a board member of BNP Paribas Assurances.
Jean-Hervé Lorenzi is a member of the orientation council of the Montaigne Institute and has been a member of the Council of Economic Analysis since 1997. Since 2008, he has also held a chair in “demographic transition” at the Risk Foundation.
A specialist in technology, innovation, growth, industrial economics, and insurance, he is the author of numerous articles published in scientific journals and has contributed to the writing of many works, including the most recent ones: The Shock of Populations: War or Peace, published in 2010, and Innovation at the Heart of New Growth in 2009.
He is also the author of numerous articles in scientific journals and works such as Stolen Memories (Ramsay, 1980), The Crisis of the 20th Century (Economica, 1980), The Shock of Technical Progress (Economica, 1995), Encyclopedia of Insurance (Economica, 1998), The Maltreated University (Plon, 2003), “Retirement: The Struggle of Ages” (in States of Emergency, Robert Laffont, 2004), The Fabulous Destiny of an Intermediate Power (Editions Grasset, 2011), and Rejuvenation and Aging of France (Editions Descartes & cie, 2012).
