About Jacobine Geel
Drs. Jacobine Geel has been the chair of GGZ Nederland, the industry organization for mental health care and addiction care, since September 1, 2013. Geel studied theology at the Vrije Universiteit. In recent years, she has combined her work as a presenter for NCRV (including Schepper & Co, 2004 – present) with various administrative and societal roles. She has served as the chair of the Citizen Forum Electoral System (2006/7) and as the independent chair of the committee New Words, New Images for the CDA (2011/12). Since May 2014, she has also been the chair of Oikocredit Nederland, an investment fund focused on fair finance in developing countries.
