Frank de Boer (Hoorn, May 15, 1970) is a Dutch coach and former professional footballer. He became the head coach of AFC Ajax in December 2010. Previously, he worked as the assistant national coach of the Dutch national team and as a youth coach at Ajax. As a player, De Boer spent 10.5 seasons at AFC Ajax and 4.5 seasons at FC Barcelona. Additionally, he played 112 international matches for the Dutch national team, of which he was also captain for a time. De Boer is the twin brother of former professional footballer Ronald de Boer.
