About Florence Poivey

I am fortunate to have grown up in Switzerland, a country that invites you to transcend its mountains to discover the world, and I am lucky to have been raised by a wonderfully courageous and open-minded widowed mother.

From the age of 18, she embarked on adventures, living in Paris, then Sydney or Riyadh, with long stays in Lebanon and the United States. The whole world attracted her, except for China, where she found the population she encountered in Hong Kong or Singapore too enigmatic.

Upon returning to France, 7 years later, she dedicated her time to defending the cause of the Christians of Lebanon oppressed by their aggressors, before coming to start a family in Haute-Loire.

In 1988, the manager of UNION PLASTIC wished to pass the baton. Her ex-father-in-law and ex-grandfather-in-law were among the founders of the company. The manager offered her the opportunity to succeed him: 11 people + a turnover of €600,000, the project seemed completely unreasonable to her. Strongly encouraged and coached by her brother (who passed away in 1997) during the early years, she accepted the challenge and quickly realized that the human adventure of UNION PLASTIC excited her. Certainly, the more successful the economic adventure, the more beautiful the human adventure would be, but the human adventure is and will remain dominant in her heart. She dares to affirm today that this adventure is decidedly winning.

Growing and helping others grow will be my eternal guiding principle, growing together and helping each individual grow.

For 22 years, she has had the opportunity to help not only the members of the executive committee but also many employees progress. They have grown together and developed UNION PLASTIC at their own pace.
