Etienne Klein
Research Director at CEA and Doctor in Philosophy of Science
Born in 1958, Etienne Klein is a physicist, research director at CEA, and a doctor in philosophy of science. He leads the CEA Laboratory for Research on Matter Sciences (LARSIM). He has participated in various major projects, particularly the development of the laser isotope separation process and the study of a superconducting cavity accelerator. At CERN, he contributed to the design of the European Large Hadron Collider, the LHC, which led to the discovery of the Higgs boson (in July 2012).
