Between 1993 and 2019, Erik worked in the world of the Special Forces (Korps Commandotroepen), of which 22 years were in a leadership position. He participated in numerous special operations and left this unit with the rank of Major. Since 2022, Erik is also known from the TV program Special Forces VIPS, where he appears as the chief instructor.
