Emmanuel Lechypre is an economic journalist. Since 2012, he has been an editorialist on BFM TV and BFM Business channels, and on France Inter radio, in the program “On n’arrête pas l’éco”. He was previously editor-in-chief at L’Expansion magazine, and director of the Forecasting Center of L’Expansion.
Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Sciences and a Master’s in Econometrics from the University of Sorbonne, Emmanuel Lechypre began his career as a trainee economist at the Economic Studies Department of Saint Gobain. After a year, he joined the Forecasting Center of L’Expansion as a business cycle analyst, where he stayed for eight years. He was then promoted to editor at L’Expansion, then deputy editor-in-chief and head of the Economics department. In 2003, he also became Head of the Forecasting Center of L’Expansion and in 2005, he also became Editor-in-Chief.
In addition to these roles, which he held until early 2012, he was also a radio columnist on France Musique and France Culture, and a television editorialist on I télé. He also regularly participated in expert debates on BFM Business and in debate programs such as C’est dans l’Air on France 5 or Mots croisés on France 2. He is also the co-author of 3 books: “golden boss”, “150 idées reçues sur l’économie” and “la présidentielle en 25 débats”.
