
Emmanuel R. Goffi is an expert in ethics and artificial intelligence. He is the Director of the Creéia - Centre de recherche et expertise en éthique et intelligence artificielle.
Emmanuel R. Goffi is an expert in ethics and artificial intelligence. He is the Director of the Creéia – Centre de recherche et expertise en éthique et intelligence artificielle (Centre for Research and Expertise on Ethics and Artificial Intelligence), Professor of Ethics with the ILERI – Institut libre d’étude des relations internationales, in Paris. He is also an expert in ethics with the Institut Sapiens, and a research fellow with the Centre for Defence and Security Studies at the University of Manitoba (UofM), in Winnipeg.
Emmanuel has served in the French Air Force for 25 years. Emmanuel lectured at the French Air Force Academy before he was appointed as an analyst and research associate at the Center for Aerospace Strategic Studies in Paris.
He also lectured in France at the Management Institute in Paris, at the Diplomatic Science Institute in Marseille, and at the Paris Graduate School of Business and Management, as well as in Canada at UofM, Brandon University in Brandon, and the International College of Manitoba. He is now teaching at the ILERI and Eurosaé in Paris, at La Cité collégiale in Ottawa (Canada), and at the Frankfurt Big Data Lab, Goethe Universität in Frankfurt (Germany).
Emmanuel Goffi holds a PhD in Political Science from Science Po-CERI. He is the author of Les armées françaises face à la morale : une réflexion au cœur des conflits modernes (Paris : L’Harmattan, 2011). He co-edited and contributed to an edited volume of more than 40 contributions about drones: Les drones aériens : passé, présent et avenir. Approche globale [Unmanned Aerial Vehicles: past, present, and future. A global approach] (Paris: La Documentation française, coll. Stratégie aérospatiale, 2013).
He has written numerous articles and book chapters in French and English, and has been invited to give talks and lectures in France and abroad, and to participate to experts meeting in many countries. He regularly appears in the media.
