When she takes on a challenge, Elodie Arrault, ultra trail champion, never does it halfway.
Her sporting adventure begins with a bet in 2009: to participate in the Marseille-Cassis race, having never really run before. She ultimately sets off alone… and it marks the beginning of a sporting journey that led her to a 178 km race in the Chad desert in February 2014, in self-navigation and self-sufficiency. At that time, she was the only woman to participate in this endurance race and finished 6th!
Elodie is passionate about:
– Running, Trail, Ultra-trail (Treg 2014 in Chad, Saintélyon, Diagonale des Fous, Lyon Urban Trial, Marseille-Cassis…)
– Triathlon (all formats, including Ironman)
– Cross-country skiing (Transjurassienne, Vasaloppet).
– Solo races, but also in pairs (original triathlon of Porquerolles), in teams (Mont Ventoux triathlon), in relays (4 x 400 m) and in interclub competitions (3000 m).
She also volunteers to help organize races.
But Elodie is also a well-rounded individual: Graduating from the European Business School in 1993, she gained experience in Abidjan (Ivory Coast), then upon returning to France, she was in charge of events for Rentokil, later becoming the regional manager for the Fraikin group before starting her own company in 2001: Château de la Plume.
In 2011, she changed paths and obtained a specialization certificate (CFPPA) at the Agricultural High School of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, in olive oil production management, processing, and marketing. She is now a sales representative for various estates and olive oil producers in the Baux-de-Provence valley.
Elodie is not a professional athlete but just a sportswoman who embraces big challenges with the firm belief that anything is possible…
