Christian Rangen is a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, strategy & innovation consultant, author, entrepreneur and business school lecturer – and a lifetime adventurer. He speaks and consults to companies around the world on strategy, innovation, business model innovation, leadership and change.

Christian is known for his passionate and engaging style, his highly interactive presentation format and deep client and industry insight.

 Christian always combines new theories, industry changes, client research, visual strategy tools and a well-spring of relevant examples in his talks. He makes a point of using highly up-to-date case studies and examples. Recent case studies include Tesla Motors, Apple, Spotify, Amazon, Google, SpaceX and the emerging private space industry.

More than just talking, Christian’s use of hands-on, breakout sessions is a strong call to action for most audiences. He frequently makes use of physical, visual strategy and innovation tools, to help create engagement, understanding and action in his client talks.

His keynote talks hit home with audiences at large conferences down to the board room. His frequent use of breakout sessions and hands-on tools, engage and captivate groups from 2 to 500 people. His multi-day workshops can facilitate anywhere from 3 to 250 participants.

His speaking engagements range from global innovation events like the World Innovation Convention and Front End of Innovation, to large corporations like Siemens and Statoil, and start-ups and start-up movements like Startup Weekend.  He also chairs conferences and events, on topics of innovation, marketing and doing business in Brazil.

Along with his Partner, Elisabeth Ovstebo, he founded Engage // Innovate and Engage // Innovate Ventures. Together, they run the global open-source, R&D project, Strategy Tools for the Next Generation, to develop a series of new visual strategy & Innovation tools.

At BI – Norwegian Business School he has taught extensively on strategy, innovation, leadership and change. Today, most of his time is spent developing and running Executive Education programs. Most recently he developed the Executive Short Programs, ‘’Strategic Innovation in the Global Oil & Gas Industry” and ‘’Social Media and Digital Business Models”. Outside the business school, he has designed numerous innovation management programs.

Christian’s talks and workshops have taken him to countries like Italy, Germany, China, The US, England, France, Finland, Spain, Denmark, The Netherlands, Norway and Brazil.

When he’s not working, Christian enjoys kitesurfing deserted Brazilian beaches, trekking across rainforests, snowboarding steep mountains and helping his two children, Alexander and Isabella, love life.

Christian splits his time between Norway and Brazil, but travels frequently worldwide.
