About Christian Morel

A graduate of the Institute of Political Studies and a doctor in political science, Christian Morel has spent his entire career as an executive in business. He concluded it as the Human Resources Director of the Utility Vehicles Division at Renault.

He has simultaneously conducted and continues today to reflect on organizations and decision-making processes. His books are considered classics that are frequently cited. His first work, “The Cold Strike,” has become a reference book in negotiation theory. His book “Absurd Decisions. Volume 1” (2002) received the Grand Prix of Management and Strategy Literature from L’Expansion McKinsey and was awarded by the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences. He published in 2012 “Absurd Decisions. Volume 2. How to Avoid Them,” which was praised upon its release by the entire daily, weekly, and broadcast press. This work was awarded the Golden Pen by the ANDRH and the RH Sciences-Po-Le Monde-Syntec book prize.

Christian Morel has also served as an evaluator at the CNRS and participates in various academic activities (seminars, editorial committees of journals).

He has spoken or is currently speaking, in the form of conferences and discussions, in public organizations such as the Army General Staff, the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, the Ministry of the Interior, the national organization of high mountain guides, health institutions (hospital directors, associations of surgeons and anesthetists), etc.; as well as in large industrial and tertiary groups (Bouygues, Société Générale, BNPP, Air France, Renault, Vinci, Labeyrie, EDF, etc.).
