Christian Constant is one of the most renowned master chocolatiers in the world. Recognized by his peers, the media, and institutions, he currently heads several shops and catering services around the globe.
Holder of a hotel management diploma, he worked as an executive for several years in this sector at one of the subsidiaries of the ACCOR group. This is where his vocation as an organizer of grand events was born. He also served as the general secretary of SA Lenôtre in Paris, before taking over Maison Coquelin to found the Maison “Christian Constant,” for which he received the Platinum Rooster for the best caterer in France. Until 1992, he owned two shops in Paris, the Restaurant “Les monuments” at the Palais de Chaillot, the Café Littéraire, and a production center.
For over thirty years, he has been developing his chocolatier business, which has earned him international fame. His products are sold online, as well as in Canada (at “Holt Renfrew”), the United States, Geneva, and Tokyo. Christian Constant has been awarded the National Order of Arts and Letters, made a Knight of the National Order of Merit, and a Knight of the Academic Palms. He also received the “Chocolate Award” in 2000.
Christian Constant has also studied tropical agronomy at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and has studied chocolate markets around the world. He has collaborated with numerous institutes worldwide: Cocoa and Coffee Research Institute, CIRAD (Montpellier), French Institute of Taste. He has given a series of international lectures on pre-Columbian civilizations, particularly on the Olmec Civilization.
Christian Constant is currently an elected member of the French Academy of Chocolate and President of the Professional Union of chocolatiers of Paris-Ile de France.
