After completing her VWO, Chimène decided to continue her studies, resulting in her obtaining a Communication Diploma. She also studied Psychology. Since this was not enough for her, she ensured that she now speaks 6 languages (Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian) and provides lectures and moderation in these languages.
After showcasing her expertise in various commercials, corporate presentations, and guest roles in ‘Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden’, ‘Onderweg Naar Morgen’, ‘Het Zonnetje in Huis’, and ‘Mijn Dochter en Ik’, she became a caller for TROS, then moved to the then Veronica, later Yorin/RTL, where she presented various programs such as ‘Motor TV’, ‘Go Travel’, ‘Yorin Travel’, ‘Veronica Goes Back to the US of A’, ‘Demolition Cars’, and ‘City Report’. At SBS6, she presented ‘Sterrenbeurs’ and ‘Snowmagazine Vips’ after the departure of Adam Curry and Robert ten Brink. On NET5, she appeared in ‘Peking Express’ alongside Bart Veldkamp and in ‘Wildebeesten’. Finally, she also played the lead role in the American feature film ‘Ex-Patriots’. She survived breast cancer three times. The last time, she underwent a heavy chemotherapy treatment, during which she lost not only her strength and energy but also her curls. During that period, she kept going as much as possible, even though she didn’t really have the strength for it. Nevertheless, she managed to motivate herself to persevere. Meanwhile, during her own illness process, her father was also diagnosed with terminal illness and was given only a few months to live. Chimène took on the care for her father alongside her own treatments. Daily, she traveled between hospitals for herself and her father, from Amsterdam to Eindhoven and vice versa. How to lift yourself out of such a deep valley and remain standing in such a situation and in society, while also moving forward in life, is something she can explain in detail and even apply to your situation and/or company. The mind is ultimately stronger than one realizes, and how to harness the strength from that same mind is a remarkable process. This process, as a psychologist and someone with lived experience, she is happy to share. She utilizes various techniques, such as mindfulness, meditation, and visualization, and also guides you with practical daily examples, as desired in the situation that is currently needed.
