After studying economics and political science at the universities of Aachen, Freiburg, and the London School of Economics and Political Science, Jünemann earned his doctorate in 1980 with a competitive analysis of the British media market. He then worked for four years as an editor for Wirtschaftswoche. From 1985 to 1994, he was employed by the Society for Economic Television, serving as a moderator from 1987 to 1994 and as the editorial director of TELE-BI–RSE starting in 1990.
In the mid-nineties, Jünemann reported as a financial correspondent for Wirtschaftswoche on the banking sector. From 1997 to 2009, he was the deputy editor-in-chief of BI–RSE ONLINE. From 2009 to 2015, he served as the chief moderator and, starting in 2010, as a board member of DAF – Deutsches Anleger Fernsehen AG.
Now in active retirement, he works as a freelance financial journalist/moderator. Additionally, Jünemann takes on teaching assignments at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (financial journalism, corporate communication) and has published books such as: “Psychology for Stock Market Professionals” – The Power of Emotions in Investing” (1997 and 2000) or “Money Management” – The Formula for Your Stock Market Success” (2007).
