Yazan Fouad Bechara, also known as Atta de Tolk, is a versatile artist. As a word artist at conferences, he is the unforgettable closing act that leaves a lasting impression. A mix of emotions, humor, inspiration, and always surprising perspectives ensure that people receive a reminder of what is truly important. As a motivational speaker, he is confrontational, realistic, and passionate. By drawing from his own experiences, environments, and diverse living worlds, he manages to connect everyone together.
Yazan was born in 1984 in Damascus, Syria. A few years later, he fled with his parents to the Netherlands as a young boy. He ended up in asylum centers and refugee projects. After his parents divorced, he lived with his father in a disadvantaged neighborhood. Here, he first encountered the differences between various population groups and socio-cultural environments. Since then, he expresses his observations through hip-hop and word art. Atta de Tolk is a word artist and speaker who knows how to transform the essence of any theme into a living work of art.
Atta de Tolk often amazes people with his summarizing ability, humor, and sometimes razor-sharp confrontations. You can influence the ingredients of his performance yourself, but you can also engage Atta as a mirror for your organization. The performance will undoubtedly stay with you forever. Clients such as ING Bank, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oxfam Novib, Radio 1, Municipality of Amsterdam, Amnesty International, and McDonald’s have gone before you.
