Arno Klarsfeld is a French lawyer authorized to practice at the bars of Paris, New York, and California. About Arno Klarsfeld

He studied law at the Sorbonne in Paris and at the New York University of Law.

He was the lawyer for the Association of Sons and Daughters of Jewish Deportees from France during the Paul Touvier (1994) and Maurice Papon (1997) trials.

Arno Klarsfeld was frequently consulted by Nicolas Sarkozy, then President of the UMP and Minister of the Interior, to draft reports (on memorial laws in 2005, and on delinquency in 2006) or to conduct ministerial mediations. He served as an advisor to Prime Minister François Fillon from 2007 to 2010. In 2010, he was tasked with an information and proposal mission regarding French aid for rebuilding Haiti.

The same year, he was appointed to the Council of State.

Since September 2011, he has been the Chairman of the Board of the French Office for Immigration and Integration.

Arno Klarsfeld is the author of several works, including Touvier, un crime français (1994), Les Dieux ne songent qu’à dormir (1995), Les Bâtons (1997), Papon, un verdict français (1998), La Cour, les nains et le bouffon (1999), Israël Transit (2005).
