Görres is the Chairman of the Forum for Ecological-Social Market Economy e.V. (FÖS), President of Green Budget Europe (GBE), and Owner and Managing Director of ZMM Zeitmanager München GmbH. At the industry level, he is a co-founder and Chairman of AIMP, an association of renowned interim management providers.
The PhD economist and former McKinsey consultant has long been committed to market-based environmental protection. Görres is the founder of FÖS (then the Association for Ecological Tax Reform), together with Henner Ehringhaus and Ernst-Ulrich von Weizsäcker, and the main author of the FÖS memorandum The Path to Ecological Tax Reform.
As an author, he has published numerous contributions and publications and is co-editor of the newsletters FÖS-News and EcoTaxNews.
In 2008, he co-founded Green Budget Europe as a European platform for market-based environmental policy. At his initiative, the DACH-wide cooperation project University Days for Ecological-Social Market Economy and Sustainability was established in 2010 with Prof. Radermacher, Global Marshall Plan, and Club of Rome. On January 1, 2013, the Ecological-Social Forum (ÖSF) merged with FÖS e.V.
