About Alycia Biekram

Alycia Biekram is a critical young professional who passionately strives to make the world a little more social and sustainable every day. With her infectious enthusiasm and the way she makes information understandable for everyone, she lowers the threshold to take action. She believes it is important not only to talk about, for example, the energy transition, but to connect it with the entire sustainable and social spectrum. In 2021, Alycia received the ABN AMRO Sustainable 50 young professional award. This is the annual thermometer regarding sustainability in construction and real estate in the Netherlands.

Stagnation is regression, and knowledge is power. This is why she wants to spread that knowledge widely. With great passion, she gives an impulse to the social and sustainability performance of organizations. Alycia is an energetic speaker who knows how to connect with every attendee by making the necessary transitions understandable with clear and simple language, translating them into simple steps that you can start with today.

Because Alycia has a bi-cultural background and grew up in the Schilderswijk in The Hague, she knows different sides of society. She feels privileged by her current position in society, knowing how it can also be from a financially and socially vulnerable perspective. She brings these experiences into her work and on stage. Therefore, she is also committed to a diverse and inclusive society. She combines these social themes with issues such as the raw materials, energy, and biodiversity crises.

As a (program) manager for sustainability and social issues within a large family business of Dutch origin with more than 26,000 employees and a large client portfolio, she works on a variety of projects across these diverse themes. The approach and experiences she has gained here can be shared with you and your audience to take steps together towards a better world for everyone.
