Dirk Beljaarts is a former Minister of Economic Affairs, a director, and an entrepreneur with over twenty years of leadership experience in business, hospitality, advocacy, and politics. He combines boardroom insight with Hague decision-making and offers organizations precise analysis on economic growth, entrepreneurship, regulatory pressure, innovation, and public-private partnerships.

After starting in the international hospitality sector, he grew into a strategic leader at Golden Tulip, Novotel, and art’otel Amsterdam. Later, as the director of Koninklijke Horeca Nederland, he became a powerful voice for thousands of entrepreneurs, engaging in themes like staff shortages, digitalization, sustainability, and the corona crisis.

In 2024, he joined the cabinet as Minister of Economic Affairs, where he worked on innovation capability, competitiveness, industrial strategy, and European economic autonomy. He initiated the European Semiconductor Coalition, now supported by all 27 EU member states.
