About Bernard Sananes

Bernard Sananès has been the Chief Executive Officer of the CSA Research and Consulting Institute since 2010.

The CSA Institute offers a comprehensive observation point of society and its developments. At the helm of the institute, Bernard SANANES provides a dual perspective, that of a research expert and that of a communicator. He frequently appears in the media to shed light on societal phenomena and underlying trends, to decipher political issues and strategies.

A graduate of the Aix-en-Provence Institute of Political Studies (IEP) and the Practical Institute of Journalism (IPJ), Bernard Sananès began his professional life as a journalist. In 1988, he turned to politics, becoming the head of communication for the parliamentary group Union du Centre at the National Assembly, and later a communication advisor to Bernard Bosson, Minister of Equipment, Transport, and Tourism.

In 1995, he joined Euro RSCG Corporate, where he became the General Director in 2007. He supports numerous business leaders (EDF, Veolia, Orange, McDonald’s, RATP, SNCF,…) in their strategic communication operations. He also advises politicians and ministers. Along with Stéphane Fouks and Laurent Habib, he contributes to the development of Euro RSCG C&O. He notably created the Influence Division there. He left the agency in 2009 for EDF, where he took the position of Director of Communication and Public Affairs, under Henri Proglio.

A specialist in elections in France and the electoral map, he is the co-author of a site that maps electoral results. In May 2009, he was made a Knight of the National Order of Merit.
