André Kaspi
Historian, leading expert on the United States
Former student of Lycée Henri-IV, agrégé in history in 1961, André Kaspi is the author of two notable theses, one on Jean Monnet and the other on American aid to France during World War I. He taught North American history at the Sorbonne from 1998 to 2006, when he became professor emeritus.
