With two master’s degrees in hand, in law, communication, and journalism, at the dawn of her career, Nathalie Bathellier began at France Soir in the General Info department first, then in the People section of Philippe Bouvard. A unique opportunity to cross paths with the pretender to the throne of the French crown, Alphonse de Bourbon, a descendant of Louis XVI, stars of the showbiz, and others… painters, singers, and writers.

But her goal is television, and what better training ground than radio to access the small screen?

No problem, after substituting at France Inter for the morning and evening news, Nathalie Bathellier embarked on a tour of France in radio with stopover cities of Radio France: Cherbourg, Besançon, Dijon, Périgueux, Marseille, and Guéret in the Creuse.

After deep France, the adventure of local television at TLT, Toulouse Télévision, the first private terrestrial local television in France, created in 1988, two years after the election of Dominique Baudis as Mayor of Toulouse, a journalist mayor.

On the way to 20 years of audiovisual adventure, reports, magazines, television news presentations, live show hosting, creation, production, and presentation of the Employment Journal for 5 years… her professional dream realized.

Not to forget a co-hosting of 3 hours of live broadcast, in Italian aired on Rai Uno worldwide during the international year of the family at the Palace of Europe (Palaeur) in Rome surrounded by 50,000 spectators and watched by several million viewers.

All that was left was to go freelance to share her expertise, write, and continue hosting seminars, round tables, and conferences while ensuring radio morning shows.

As the saying goes, as long as there is life, there is news! And staying in the journalistic tempo pleases her, because journalism is a mindset, a state of being: curious to learn, to discover, to write, and to say what fascinates her! To conclude, Nathalie Bathellier chooses this quote from André Gide: “I call ‘journalism’ everything that will be less interesting tomorrow than today.”
