About Michael Ignatieff

Since his first election to Parliament in 2006, he has traveled across the country to listen to what Canadians have to say and to talk with them about the hopes and dreams they have pour leurs enfants et petits-enfants. Michael has favored this same approach throughout his long career as an academic, writer, and journalist, and as one of the leading Canadian speakers on the global stage.

Before entering the political arena in 2005, Michael was the director of the Carr Center for Human Rights at Harvard University and taught at major universities around the world. He has proudly contributed to international public policy for nearly four decades as an author, communicator, and advisor.
