Tino Hanekamp is a multi-award-winning writer, worked for many years as a music journalist, and operated several music clubs.
He gained his first experience as a club operator with the small music club “Weltbühne” on Hamburg’s Reeperbahn for two years until 2005. After that, he worked as co-founder, co-owner, and program director of “Uebel & Gefährlich,” a music club repeatedly voted the best in Germany, also in Hamburg.
For his debut novel “So was von da” (2011), Tino Hanekamp was awarded the “Silberschwein-Debütantenpreis” at the Lit.Cologne literature fair in the year of its publication, and in 2012 he received the “Förderpreis zum Kasseler Literaturpreis für grotesken Humor.” Earlier this year, his debut novel “So was von da” premiered as a theater play at the Hamburg Schauspielhaus.
