« Thomas Lombard began his career at his training club, Racing Club de France. Then in 1997, he joined Stade Français Paris coached by Bernard Laporte. From his very first season at Stade Français, he became French Champion. He would win three more titles in 2000, 2003, and 2004. He also played in a H-Cup final in 2001, lost against Leicester.
In 2004, he moved to England to play for Worcester for 3 seasons before returning to his beloved club, Racing Club de France, which became Racing Métro 92, in 2007. He then played two seasons in Pro D2 and narrowly missed promotion to Top 14 in 2008.
Thomas Lombard officially announced his retirement in June 2008. He has twelve caps for the French national team, playing his first match with Les Bleus in 1998 against Argentina and his last in 2001 against Wales.
In 2007, he commented on the Rugby World Cup for RMC and is now a member of the Rugby Specialists team on Canal + ».
