Sven Kockelmann began his journalistic career at VARA after attending the School of Journalism in 1992. After working as an editor for a short time, he transitioned to IKON, where he worked on Kenmerk.
In 1993, the next change was already a fact. Sven started working at KRO, where he took on programs such as Reporter, Brandpunt, and Netwerk as a presenter. For these programs, he was also a long-term political reporter and interviewer. Additionally, Sven Kockelmann presented Goedemorgen Nederland in the mornings on NPO1 and Radio-1. Sven is perhaps best known for his own interview program Oog in Oog and for 1op1, which he co-hosted with Eva Jinek on television. In January 2018, he also hosted the radio version of that program on Radio1. Sven also presented the Weekly Conversation with the Prime Minister for 15 years.
