About René Laurant
René Laurant is a man of many worlds – and the art of bringing them together. For more than 35 years, he has been active in Rotterdam’s education sector as a teacher, coach, supervisor, and team leader. At the same time, he is a familiar face in the world of magic and illusionism. This unique combination makes him a speaker who seamlessly connects content and experience.
As a born and raised Rotterdammer, René knows the city and its people like no one else. In his role as a coach and trainer, he works with young people and adults on personal leadership, communication, and self-development. His approach is deeply rooted in NLP, with sources of inspiration such as Richard Bandler, Stephen Covey, and Tony Robbins. He knows how to translate complex insights into accessible and practical messages that truly resonate.
But René is also: the Rotterdam Magician. At a young age, he became the Dutch champion of magic and has never left the stage since. He has performed both nationally and internationally and developed his magical skills under world champion Richard Ross. He is now also in his sixth year as president of the Dutch Magical Union, where he represents the magic community in an administrative capacity, organizes national and international events, and gives lectures.
