Radislav Gandapas is one of Russia’s foremost trainers of leadership, motivation and public speaking. His pedigree is proven, having twice been voted as the best business trainer in Russia in 2005 and 2007, working with companies such as Microsoft, Wrigley’s, PepsiCo, Heineken, Phillip Morris, PWC, Pfeizer, Sony, DHL, Amway, Ernst and Young, BP and many other household brands. He’s also shared a stage with some of the heavyweights of the industry, such as Brian Tracy, Allan Pease and Robin Sharma.
His experience of the benefits of training came at an early age, when his father, a decorated military fighter pilot gave him intensive training in dealing with high pressure situations with a view to Radislav following him into the Air Force. Ultimately, Radislav’s interests lay elsewhere – but the lessons learned in these formative years have stayed with him through his own successful business career and have proved beneficial to the thousands of people who have attended his training seminars in Russia and abroad.
After a youth filled with a fascinating variety of work: lifeguard, archaeological technician, high school teacher, he was appointed as the deputy director of the House of Scientists in his native Odessa. This experience helping to run one of the Soviet Union’s most important social clubs for leading academics and scientists, convinced him further of the importance of education and training, and in 2001 he left for Moscow to become a business trainer.
From there, success has followed success. Stints as a TV presenter and radio show host have added to Radislav’s repertoire alongside his growing emergence as Russia’s leading trainer. He has now published seven books about leadership and public speaking which have been translated into three languages, and has produced 10 DVD courses that expand on his ideas. As well as training others to do business, he is also a successful businessman in his own right and has set up flourishing companies in IT development and medical supplies. However, his first love is still using his extraordinary life experience and knowledge of leadership to help others get the very best out of themselves.
