Lavignonnais Jérémie Azou spent 15 years and 4,000,000 strokes to achieve his goal: to win the Olympic title! He faced many setbacks; but rather than giving up, he devised a strategy to ensure that luck would no longer have a say in his quest for victory… even though a rowing race is won by the hundredth of a second! French champion, European champion, world champion, Olympic champion… to date, none have resisted! If his teammates call him “superman,” it’s not just for his athletic qualities. Hyperactive since always, he has continuously managed multiple projects simultaneously. Despite the sacrifices, this double life allows him, at 27 years old, to hold a double degree: massage therapist and osteopath. This enables him to regularly intervene in companies to raise awareness among staff about “Gestures and Postures.” Never satisfied, he even finds a way, in the rare moments of freedom he has left, to write. After four long years, he finally releases his book in which he describes his daily struggle against the weight regime as a lightweight rower.
Finally, it is his values of sharing and transmitting experience that also make him the undisputed leader of his category: a fact he continues to demonstrate by mentoring the Junior French Team for 8 years.
His hobby: making music. Drums, guitar, piano, whether through training or self-taught, he does not shy away from difficulty, for nothing resists training…
