Henri Sterdyniak is a graduate of the École Polytechnique and ENSAE. He leads the Department of Globalization Economics at OFCE, where he has worked since 1982 and has held various positions. Since 2012, he has been a member of the Council of Mandatory Contributions.
He is also a member of the steering committee of Euroframe (network of European economic institutes). He has published numerous articles in macroeconomics, economic policy, monetary and international economics, European economics, social, fiscal, and budgetary issues. Since 1975, he has been an administrator at INSEE, an institute for which he worked at the beginning of his career, between 1975 and 1982.
Henri Sterdyniak has also been a professor at the University of Paris-Dauphine from 1990 to 2011 and a professor of macroeconomics at the Center for Economic Program Studies from 1977 to 1992. From 1999 to 2011, he was a member of the steering committee of AFSE, notably working on a project in 2005 titled “The Social Europe.” He has contributed to numerous economic cooperation missions in Tunisia, Algeria, Guinea, Cambodia, and Argentina.
