Prof. Dr. Guido Knopp was the chief historian of ZDF for decades. He is considered the most popular historian in Germany. His name is inseparably linked to successful TV formats such as “Die Deutschen”, “History”, and “Hitlers Helfer”, all of which also became international book bestsellers. Guido Knopp’s work is guided by the motto “Enlightenment needs reach”.
The successful combination of precisely researched and exciting information captivates a large audience in over 130 countries worldwide. His books, mostly bestsellers, have been translated into 52 languages so far. Twice, Guido Knopp was named “Non-Fiction Author of the Year”.
