Haas&Hahn consists of artists Jeroen Koolhaas and Dre Uhrhahn. Together, they have realized fantastic art projects in underprivileged areas around the world. Jeroen Koolhaas and Dre Uhrhahn began collaborating in 2005 under the name Haas&Hahn. Over the past ten years, they have created public artworks in many different countries, such as Brazil, Haiti, Curaçao, Sweden, the United States, and the Netherlands. The projects of Haas&Hahn create a social and visual dialogue with the environment, bringing beauty to places where it is least expected. Due to the grandeur of the projects that the duo undertakes, it is impossible to do this alone; therefore, they collaborate with the local population. This way of working has resulted in a unique ‘business’ model. The duo trains the local community in the area where a project is realized so that they can continue independently with the project. This not only beautifies the area but also fosters a strong community. By providing residents with valuable training, they gain skills that can be of great importance throughout their lives. As you can imagine, the many projects and travels around the world bring significant experience. Haas&Hahn have spoken about this at universities and cultural centers worldwide, given TED Talks, and conversed with world leaders and gangsters on the same afternoon. All of this for artists who work in the areas they desire.
