Christophe André was born in Montpellier to a father who was a sailor and a mother who was a teacher. Perhaps this is where his passion for pedagogy (thank you, mom) and depth psychology (thank you, dad) comes from. He read Freud's work at an early age and decided to study medicine to become a psychiatrist. He practiced psychiatry and rugby in Toulouse for 15 years. After his marriage, he moved to Paris, replacing rugby with writing, the visits to matches with visits to museums, and no longer scores tries, but publishes many.
