Christophe André was born in Montpellier to a father who was a sailor and a mother who was a teacher. Perhaps this is where his passion for pedagogy (thank you, mom) and depth psychology (thank you, dad) comes from. He read Freud’s work at an early age and decided to study medicine to become a psychiatrist.
He practiced psychiatry and rugby in Toulouse for 15 years. After his marriage, he moved to Paris, replacing rugby with writing, the visits to matches with visits to museums, and no longer scores tries, but publishes many.
He works in the Hospital-University Service of Sainte-Anne Hospital in Paris, within a Behavioral and Cognitive Psychotherapy Unit, specialized in the treatment and prevention of emotional, anxiety, and depressive disorders.
He is also the author of scientific articles and books, as well as numerous books aimed at the general public. His works aimed at the general public have achieved great success in France and abroad.
