Cécile Monteil is a young doctor and entrepreneur who advocates for a relevant use of new technologies in medicine while keeping the doctor-patient relationship at the heart of care. Cécile works in the pediatric emergency department of the Robert Debré Hospital in Paris. She is also the Medical Director at Ad Scientiam, a startup incubated at the ICM (Brain and Spine Institute) at the La Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital, which uses smartphones and connected devices to improve patient monitoring during clinical trials and in clinical practice. In early 2015, she founded Eppocrate, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness in the medical community about new technologies, connecting stakeholders in the health and technology sectors, and highlighting e-health projects in France. With an atypical profile, she is also an ambassador for the Thousand Network in Paris, an international community of 1000+ members aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, intersectoral collaboration, and professional development.
