Dr. Bernhard von Mutius is regarded as one of the most influential thinkers in the German-speaking world, addressing future issues, innovations, and societal change.
He studied philosophy, history, political science, and economics. This was followed by various teaching positions in European intellectual history and the history of sciences. Since the mid-1980s, he has been working independently in research and consulting, taking on diverse consulting mandates in top management for renowned German and international companies. Since 1989, he has been the chairman of the interdisciplinary scientific Bergweg Forum “Thinking of the Future e. V.” Five years later, he co-founded UPJ “Companies: Partners of Youth,” the first and now largest corporate citizenship network in Germany. From 1995 to 2000, he, together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering and Organization, organized the Stuttgart Management Symposia.
Dr. von Mutius is also a partner and co-founder of DENKBANK, a founding member of the “New Club of Paris,” an advisory board member of the journal “International Politics,” and a contributor to the network “Denkwerk Zukunft” Foundation for Cultural Renewal. He has been working for many years as a strategic advisor for business and politics and as a facilitator of change processes. Last but not least, he is known as a sought-after speaker.
