About Armand Abécassis
Emeritus Professor of General and Comparative Philosophy at Michel de Montaigne University, Bordeaux III. His writings and teachings reflect a fruitful dialogue between Judaism and Christianity. He holds a doctorate, is certified in Semitic languages, and is certified in Arabic. He received the award from the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences. A recipient of the Edmond Tenoudji Prize in 1994 for educational vocation, he also received the Judeo-Christian Friendship Prize in 2009. He holds the Palmes académiques.
