Privacy Statement Speakers Academy® Newsletter
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and otherwise process personal data that we receive from you when you subscribe to our newsletter. It also explains the circumstances under which we may transfer this personal data to others.
1. Who we are
We are Speakers Academy®, a mediator between speakers and clients. This means we facilitate the engagement of Dutch and international speakers. We also organize meetings and seminars with our speakers and are a co-founder of Grand Speakers Business & Knowledge Club. Additionally, we publish ACADEMY® Magazine.
Speakers Academy® B.V. (trade register 24153344) is responsible for processing your personal data. We are located at Schiedamse Vest 67-71 (3012 BE) in Rotterdam.
2. Purpose and legal basis for processing
Speakers Academy® processes your personal data in accordance with the purposes and procedures described in the General Data Protection Regulation.
We process your personal data to send information via our newsletter. The legal basis for this processing is your consent. For all mailing lists, you must first confirm your registration via email before the subscription is activated (double opt-in).
We process the following personal data: email address, IP address, first name, and last name (if provided by you).
3. Retention period
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary or as legally required. If consent is maintained, the data you provided will not be deleted. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter and/or exercise one of your rights as described in paragraph 6, this will be processed as soon as possible.
4. Security
To prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modifications, Speakers Academy® employs appropriate security procedures. If you suspect your data is not properly secured or if there are indications of misuse, please contact Speakers Academy®.
5. Sharing with third parties
Speakers Academy® does not share your data with third parties and will only do so to comply with a legal obligation. We collaborate with external individuals or organizations to carry out services concerning Speakers Academy®. Agreements with these third parties have been made to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality for your data.
Links to external websites and organizations may be displayed in the Speakers Academy® newsletter. We are not responsible for how your data is used by those organizations. Please read the privacy statement of the relevant website you visit.
6. Your rights
You have the right to view, correct, or delete your personal data. Each newsletter contains a link where you can view, modify, or delete your data.
7. Changes to Privacy Statement
Speakers Academy® reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy, for example, due to changes in processing or if regulations change. In the event of significant changes, Speakers Academy® will bring this to your attention.

Of course, we are happy to assist if you have complaints about the processing of your personal data.
