Over Torie Campbell
Victoria (Torie) can currently be seen on our screens presenting The Honda 4-Stroke Power Boat Championships which transmitted race weekends throughout the Spring/Summer 2007 on ITV4. A shorter version is transmitted during ITV1s Saturday Sports programming. She is also one of the regular presenters for Price-drop TV on Sky 635, Virgin 741 and Freeview 24. Working for Sky has given Victoria invaluable live broadcasting training.
A trained actress, singer and dancer Victoria has used all three of these skills in her career to date. She started her presenting journey in one of the tried and trusted showbiz routes as a Butlins Redcoat. Her talent as a natural communicator was picked up by the marketing side of Butlins and they used her as the main presenter in a promotional video for the company. Victoria was also one of three female Redcoats featured in a docu-soap made by ITV on Butlins; the girls were followed during their daily routines around the holiday camp. It had its first transmission in 2003 and was recently repeated on Sky.
Having left her Redcoat career behind her, a stint as a compere followed for both Party in the Pavilion pop arena weekends and Smash Hits weekends. She also became a DJ in various venues countrywide and brought her dancing skills to the fore by dancing for The Moscow State Circus during one of their UK tours, which then led onto a tour of the Middle East on behalf of USE Entertainments. Victorias persistence to be a full time TV presenter finally paid off with her being offered a job as one of the presenters at Bid Up TV in 2006.
Victoria is now keen to move her presenting career on and is looking for new challenges. She would relish the opportunity to use her many and varied interests in different styles of Broadcasting.
Torie regularly presents corporate dvds and awards ceremonies.

"Torie is professional, gets on well with the competitors, is always on time, great to work with as nothing is too much trouble. She is prepared to do whatever work has to be one to complete the programmes, and is quite understanding if we have to do several takes. So far she has introduced the programmes from a Helicopter, from a boat and even a horse drawn tram, she is good at remembering lines which are sometimes quite long intro’s. Importantly the event organisers and sponsors get on well with her and are pleased with what she is doing for the programmes. She has gone to some trouble to research the project and is a joy to work with. She is destined to go a long way."

"The Honda Formula Four Stroke Powerboat Race events are unique occasions in the UK , built up over 8 years the excitement of affordable one design powerboat racing is not only on water but on land as well as the 40 teams prepare to race against each other and the conditions. On an event its easy to feel the excitement and tension of racing , however its more difficult to translate this to TV, Torie has been able to achieve this . In the short time she had pre season she ensured that she understood the rules , the tactics and the people , this allowed her to ask the questions that the viewer wanted to be asked . She also understood the emotions of the teams , wherever that finished ( or not finished ) in the race and was able to link all aspects of the racing so that the 24 minute programme captured the occasion as if you had been there. Torie also helped out at our Annual Awards Dinner held at the London Hilton on Park Lane and was stunning in RED .....the Honda colour !. Off camera she also had a great and interested rapport with teams and supporters and became enjoyed the social activities that make the series what it is , I believe this made her approachable to all. We have been delighted with Torie and are looking forward to her presenting the next season's programmes."
