Pierre Rousselin is the adjunct-director of the redaction of Le Figaro and is since 2004 in charge of the international news section and writes daily online columns about foreign policies. He is frequently invited as a commentator on the BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, France24 and other TV and radio channels.
Pierre Rousselin started his career as a economic journalist for Agence France Presse in 1977. After a couple of years he became a special correspondent in Iran for one year, he then became a Washington Economic correspondent till 1982, where he then specialized in the White House.
After leaving the Agence France Presse he became a Special foreign correspondent in Paris for Le Figaro. After two years, in 1990, be was stationed in Jerusalem for 5 years. After returning to Paris in 1995 he became Deputy Head of the Foreign News Desk and a couple of years later he became Head of the Foreign News Desk.
Since 1998 he became the Foreign Affairs Editorial writer and in 2004 he became the Deputy Editor in charge of all International News.
