Gilles Babinet successfully created and managed various successful businesses as CEO. At the age of 24, he set up Absolut, a consultancy firm specializing in product design and marketing that became, under his management, a major consultancy group in its field in France. Through Absolut, Gilles was involved in the emerging Entertainment mobile market from the beginning and sold Absolut at the beginning of 2000 to Euro-RSCG, a worldwide communications group, in order to fully dedicate himself to the creation of Musiwave. In 5 years, Musiwave became the leading European provider of mobile music and entertainment services to telecommunication operators and media. Musiwave has been sold to Openwave – a public American company – for $139M in Jan 2006.

Since then, Gilles has been involved in several businesses :

Eyeka, that he founded in April 2006. Eyeka is a co-creation community of more than 100,000 creative talents (vidéo design, photo…). The company has the backing of Ventech Capital, SFR developpement, I-source, DN Capital from which it raised €10m. Curently the company has 40 employees and subsidiaries in Singapore and London. It intends to create further subsidiaries in New York and Berlin.

Mxp4, that he co-founded in Nov 2006. Mxp4 is a company developing a new interactive music format, backed by Orkos Capital, Ventech and Sofinnova (fundraised €9m).

Digicompanion, which he co-founded in Feb 2007. Digicompanion is an online direct marketing Platform, backed by Alven Capital (fundraised €2m)

CaptainDash, co-founded in Dec 2009. Captain Dash is a company providing a new generation of dashboard for marketing purposes. The company is currently in a seed stage and intend to fundraise during the fall of 2010

He is also a shareowner and sometimes Director in several other businesses, such as Sawnd publishing, Awdio, two internet music companies as well as Sacadict, STW.
