Additionally, she is a researcher in the field of learning, development, and generations. Weekly, she publishes on her Instagram page the Learning Clinic methods that should inspire trainers, work supervisors, and practical trainers to use a learning method a bit more often.<\/p>\n<p>She is also the author of the Great Methods Book for Healthcare, nominated for the Best Management Book of the Year 2021. The combination of experience from daily healthcare practice, a background in business administration and education, insights from her role as a manager and researcher, and a dose of creativity makes her unique. For every situation you present to her, she has a suitable method to ensure that you can create an inspiring learning environment that our healthcare professionals deserve.<\/p>\n<h4>Lectures<\/h4>\n<p>Courses and conferences are being canceled, clinical lessons and presentations postponed. The coronavirus has also impacted medical education. It forces us to turn to online alternatives. However, many of us are still searching in the world of digital teaching. In this lecture, Miriam will tell you how to make your online lesson a success.<\/p>\n<p>Lazy and spoiled, that is how Generation Y is labeled by its predecessors. There is misunderstanding and disappointment among many trainers and work supervisors, as the healthcare sector was looking forward to the arrival of these fast-paced young people. A shame, because Generation Y can truly make a difference for organizations. This only requires a different approach to guidance. In this lecture, Miriam will explain how.<\/p>\n<p>The healthcare sector is under pressure. Not only due to Corona, but for a longer time. The sector is burdened by a tight labor market and high absenteeism. It also appears that nearly half of new healthcare employees leave the sector within 2 years. The workload continues to increase. How do you keep healthcare professionals engaged and inspired during these times? How do you train people well when time and capacity are constantly under pressure? Using theory and practical examples, Miriam will guide you through what is involved in learning on the job, how to better retain new colleagues, and how to keep work supervisors and trainers motivated to also focus on training.<\/p>\n<h4>Background<\/h4>\n<p>Miriam is trained as a business administrator and educator. She gained her experience in various management positions in the financial world. She then made the transition to educational consultant and project manager. She has also conducted many training sessions. In 2015, Miriam made the switch to healthcare. There, her various areas of expertise came together. As the manager of the AVL Academy at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, she built \u2013 together with her team \u2013 an oncological knowledge institute.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her work, she is a researcher and lecturer in the field of learning, development, and generations. She regularly writes about this in professional journals, such as O&amp;O and V&amp;VN. She has also contributed to the books of Nick van Dam (Handbook of Learning &amp; Development in Organizations) and Manon Ruijters (Canon of Learning).
