Margriet Sitskoorn is a professor of clinical neuropsychology at Tilburg University. Her research focuses on the relationship between the brain and behavior and specifically examines how behavior and environment influence the brain and how, in this way, one can affect the emotions, skills, and behavior of healthy individuals and patients. She is the director of the top performance lab within the department of Cognitive Neuropsychology. This lab conducts research on how to improve the performance of (elite) athletes and (top) managers. Based on this research, new training methodologies are developed for the world of elite sports and business. She is also a member of the knowledge council of the elite sports community.<\/p>\n
Margriet Sitskoorn studied psychology in Tilburg in the 1980s, specializing in neuropsychology. She obtained her PhD at the University of Nijmegen in developmental psychology. She completed a postgraduate program in clinical neuropsychology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, United States. She is a BIG registered clinical neuropsychologist.<\/p>\n
She is a sought-after speaker and advisor. In addition to her international scientific work, Margriet Sitskoorn writes columns for various magazines and is a popular guest on television programs (including National IQ Test, Eva Jinek, and Pauw). She is also the author of bestsellers such as ‘The Malleable Brain’, ‘Passions of the Brain’, and ‘I Want Something from You, You Want Something from Me’.<\/p>\n
