Serge Hefez is a physician and a hospital psychiatrist. He has worked as a psychoanalyst and family & marriage therapist. He is responsible for the unity of family therapy in the department of psychiatry of child and adolescent in the hospital de la Pitié Salpêtrière, he is involved in many national and international symposia on the problems of couples and families. He is also responsible for a psychological support service for people affected by AIDS.
His essay on marital relation, 'La Dance du Couple' (The dance of the couple), which is translated into several languages, was a great success. He is also the author of 'Sida et vie psychique' (AIDS and your mental life), 'Quand la famille s'emmêle' (When the family tangles), 'Un Écran de fume' (A smoke screen), 'La Famille adolescente' (The adolescent family) and 'Les nouveaux ados' (The new Teens).
