About Ray Bender
Ray Bender is a speaker, author, and consultant based in Austin, TX. He has over 25 years experience in sales, consulting, and management with technology companies. He has successfully lead organizations with over 700 people and $500 million in assets.
Prior to starting his own company he was Vice President and Research Director for Gartner Group’s North American Executive Program. Ray also served as a Consulting Instructor at IBM’s Advanced Business Institute. He is Research Advisor to Forrester Research’s CIO program. He has over 18 years experience advising senior executives on the management of their technology assets.
Dr. Bender’s areas of expertise are corporate culture, the human aspects of change, leadership, communications, and creating alliances. He also educates non- technical executives on managing IT resources. He has served on the Business School faculty at Teikyo Post University, Waterbury, CT and was a Senior Lecturer in the Management Department at Texas State University - San Marcos.
He is co-author of two books, Culture .com, Building Corporate Culture in the Connected Workplace and I Should Be Burnt Out By Now, So How Come I’m Not? both published by John Wiley & Sons.
Ray has a B.Sc. in History and Sociology, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Management. He is a graduate of the US Army Command and General Staff College and a retired Army Colonel.
