About Irene Foglierini
Irène Foglierini is an Affiliate Professor in the Informations Systems and Technologies departement at the ESCP-EAP university. Her teaching areas are Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.After graduating from a business school with a Master in Management, over a period of 20 years she held various positions in several purchasing organisations (automotive industry, insurances companies and Consulting Groups).After a PhD in management science at University of Sorbonne (September1985), she joined ESCP-EAP where she developed Purchasing and Supply Chain Management courses in Masters Programs and in Corporate Universities.Her current research concerns TCO (total cost ownership) and TVO (total value ownership) in purchasing organisations. She is also studying the skills of Purchasing Managers and the real situation of Supply Chain Management in the industries today.She is the author of numerous articles and communications. She has also published several books on Organisation (Organisation et gestion des entreprises, Dunod,), as well as the first E-learning Program in Purchasing in Europe.She is currently researching the impact of TCO (Total Cost Ownership) and TVO strategies (Total Value Ownership) in the global purchasing performance.
