About Bill Magill
Bill Magill teaches private equity at INSEAD and speaks regularly about the industry at innovation and investment forums around Europe. Bill splits his time between the US and Europe and focuses on the differences in entrepreneurship and venture capital between the two continents. He has invested in young technology companies in both regions as well as Israel and advises European venture partnerships on fundraising and strategy.
Bill has been a member of the senior investment team at TeleSoft Partners, a venture capital firm in Silicon Valley, since 1999, and an equities research analyst at Banc of America Securities prior to TeleSoft. Other earlier careers include telecoms market research and laser engineering. He is the founder of VentureScout, an advisory firm focused on cross-Atlantic investment scouting for private equity GPs and LPs.
Bill speaks French and Spanish in addition to his native English. He has been commuting between California and France since 2003, and can usually be found in one of his two favorite cities: San Francisco or Aix-en-Provence.
